In the programming world, you’re likely to come across several terms that may be alien to you. One such term is architecture. In simple words, Laravel architecture refers to the way in which different components of a programming language are organized and structured so that they can work together efficiently and in an organized manner. To help you get a better understanding of what laravel architecture is, we have outlined the main components of laravel architecture and why it’s important for your development process. Keep reading to find out more about these key points!

Introduction to Laravel Architecture

Architecture is the way in which the different components of a software product are arranged and integrated with each other. This includes the selection of tools, the methodologies to be used for development, and the overall design of a product. In simple words, Laravel architecture refers to the way in which different components of a programming language are organized and structured so that they can work together efficiently and in an organized manner. Laravel architecture works in two ways - horizontally and vertically. Horizontally, it refers to separating out different functionalities of the application into separate components that can be reused, while vertically, it refers to separating the data in the application into different models.

Importance of Laravel Architecture

While it is true that architecture is crucial for any product, one must also understand why. There are a few reasons as to why architecture is as important as it is. - Clean Code - When architecture is implemented properly, it will help you have cleaner code. What this essentially means is that you will have a code that can be easily understood by other developers and is more efficient. - Easier Maintenance - Another advantage of using architecture is that it will make it easier for you to maintain your code. If you have been using messy code for a long period of time, you will know how much of a pain it is to continue working on it. With architecture, this is not the case and you will easily be able to find your way through the code. - No Duplication - This is another great advantage of using architecture. When you are working with different components and modules, you will be able to avoid duplication. Duplication is one of the most common issues that developers face and it makes the code look messy. Using architecture will help you avoid all of these issues.

Directory Structure of Laravel Framework

The directory structure and the file structure of each and every programming language are different. However, the most common directory structure that you will see in most of them is the following - - Assets - This is the directory where you will have all of the assets related to your project, such as CSS and JavaScript files. - Config - The config directory will have all of the configuration files that are necessary for your project. - DB - This directory will contain all of the database migration files and any other database related files. - Exceptions - This directory will contain all of the exceptions that might occur in your application. - Libraries - Libraries are the files that are necessary but not directly related to your application or the product. - Models - This directory will contain all of the model files that are necessary for your application. - Providers - The providers directory will contain all of the service provider files that are needed by your application. - Routes - The routes directory will contain all of the route files that your application needs. - Seeds - The seeds directory will contain all of the seed files that are necessary for your application. - Storage - The storage directory will contain all of the files related to your storage. - Tests - The tests directory will contain all of the test files that are necessary for your application. - Vendor - The vendor directory will contain all of the vendor files that are necessary for your application.

Artisan Command in Laravel Architecture

The artisan command is a set of PHP functions and scripts that are used for different functions in Laravel, such as migrations, test commands, and cron jobs, and logging. If you take a look at the directory structure of Laravel, you will notice that all of the artisan commands are present under the “bin” directory. The artisan command plays an important role in Laravel architecture. The artisan command is used to set up your Laravel application. You can use it to set up the environment, create routes, create models, and make other changes in the application. To access the artisan command, you can use the following command on your terminal - Example: php artisan create:command MyCoolCommand

Route and Controller in Laravel Architecture

A controller is one of the most important components of the Laravel architecture. The controller is like the brain of your application and is used to process the incoming requests from the users. A controller has two main responsibilities - It is responsible for returning the data to the users and it is responsible for routing the request to the appropriate view. A view is the piece of code that will be displayed on the screen for the users to see. A route is the path that the users will take to reach the application. All of these components are a part of Laravel architecture and are important to know. A route can be defined by using a route file, which will contain the URL that the route will lead to and the controller that will be responsible for receiving the request.

Conclusion

The laravel architecture can be a bit tricky to understand at first, but once you get the basics down, you will be able to understand how it all works together and make sense of it. Architecture is crucial for any product and helps make the development process easier and gives you cleaner code. If you want to create robust and scalable applications, then you will have to understand how Laravel architecture works. With a good understanding of the architecture and how it all works together, you can create amazing applications with ease.
